As some of you may have known, our family moved very recently [past few days] into a one-bedroom apartment in the same complex for several reasons. During this time, the entire family was stressed, tired, etc.
Normally, this would be an excruciatingly troublesome period for me, since I'm REALLY lazy, and I get angry whenever people tell me to do physical work. The last few times I've moved resulted in the entire family angry, tired, and miserable because of it.
GRACE OF GOD STRIKES AGAIN!
I've been 'weaned' away from the computer and internet more and more since I've come to know Christ, which is such a blessing. Same thing with games, though I do struggle with it at times. God has also changed me. He has been given me a heart to truly care and love, which I've been asking for from God to help me grow and develop.
This is what I feel happened during this move. Even though I did not want to exert myself at all, God helped me understand that it wasn't all about me, and gave me a self-sacrificing heart during those times for my entire family. By God's grace, I helped my dad move things around, even though I was tired and hadn't eaten that day. I was able to pick up my sister up from school without complaining, and helped her bear along with her own struggles at school, etc.
Even though I was tired, hungry, and would have previously just complained and not have helped at all, by God's grace was I able to love my family, by serving them.
Though I was working, God used this opportunity to really bless me and the family during these times, so I was able to help out in all things without complaining or grudgingly.
Just wanted to share this experience God has blessed me with. :3

Cal State Ghost Town
YES!! It feels good being done with finals. One of my finals had the answers on them [ professor accidently gave us the answer sheet version of the test and the sub just told us to use it ] and the other one included one of the students having a seizure. My third final was quite pleasant. TELL ME YOU FUNNY/CRAZY/EMBARRASSIN' stories about finals!! {shout out to emma!!!, we are praying for you}

Update!
Hey guys,
If you're wondering, I had my interview today for the American Friend Coordinator Position. I think it went pretty well, but there are 3 other people applying for the position. I should know before April 1 whether I get the position or not.
So just an update and a prayer request. Please pray for me that I get the position and that I can deal with it if I don't get it.
Thanks ^^

Next Semester, New Start
Hey guys! How's your week been? Mine's been pretty lazy haha
Today, though, I was filled with motivation! I wanted to share with you guys because it's something that was so sudden and so fulfilling that it can only come from God.
As some of you may know, I've been having a sort of hard time with school for the past few years. Community college last year and Hope this year were not what I had in mind at all when I was preparing myself for college at Troy. But I've gotten over being upset about my situation. Unfortunately, I've transitioned into apathy. Thus, I sleep a lot (ask Christine, I sleep all day sometimes), miss classes and generally laze about. But today! Today, I checked my school mailbox for the first time in like, two months. Inside I found an envelope with my name on it with an application inside for the "American Friend Coordinator."
At Hope, we have a program in the International Students department called the American Friend program. It's designed to pair up every international student with an American student who can befriend them, help them with English and the American culture, and provide support during the time they are living here at Hope. I became friends with the coordinator this year and attended quite a few of the events. Anyone that knows me can tell you that this kind of program is right up my alley haha.
Anyways, I found this application in my box today and it's due tomorrow! Because of the timing and everything around this, I feel like this application was a gift from God (though I think it was my friend, the current coordinator who put it there). So I've been working on the application today.
But along with that application is a renewed sense of motivation. I feel like this application opened my eyes to what I could be doing out there for my community and even for myself. If I get this position, not only will I have an actual motivation to get up every morning and go outside, but I'll meet a huge number of new people whom I can minister to and support.
Anyways, the bottom line: I'm excited and I feel motivated today for the first time in... at least this semester.
See you all Friday, or at least Sunday :D
Lub,
Emma

Burned Pot Story pt.2
Hey you guys!!
You know my pot story.. well like yesterday i was cooking Mobu Tofu thing with my friend cuz she is (sort of) learning cooking from me, one meal at a time. :D
I was just telling her the pot story and Arevik comes and she joins in the convo with how she almost burned my pot while she was cooking her oatmeal. Then she also adds, "Oh last year i burned this pot and i almost burn it again! How funnyyy" i was like... "what? when????" lol... she said, "last year i borrowed this while you were out and i got permission from Eileen (my previous roommate) and yeah.... I burnt the bottom.. LOL Eileen and i were like oh shooooot and decided to not tell you (me) about it. Man, I scrubbed the bottom like Well the burnt bottom came off after i scrubbed it. XD"
I was like... "Well, is this why my pot has all these scratch marks on the bottom?? I noticed it but just didnt say anything. and it was a new pot!" XD So yeah... the hidden story of her burning my pot a year ago has been revealed. XD I wonder when she was planning to tell me lol....
I thought it would be funny to share this with you guys :D "Lawl"

A Young Future
Hello everyone!
It's good to see all the new people, and thanks to all of you for your thoughts and prayers. :3
I've found out where I am going for my DTS outreach location: Morocco! :O
Though, it seems before that, I have quite a few bills to pay, both for school and for DTS itself. :d
I guess that this would be my prayer request: that if it is God's will and in God's timing, that God's will would be done, and that I myself would have faith and trust in Him through all things, and for peace for my family, who's having a lot of trouble and difficulty trying to 'make ends meet.' :3
Thanks for your support, and I'll try to keep you guys posted about anything that happens here, or in Orlando/Morocco, should I be able to go! :D

Hi People!! I have an exciting story to tell you!!!
But first of all, Young, we alllllllll miss you VERY much and I hope it stopped hailing over there. Just recently rain storm passed us by but we are all well :D i jk jk... Young, come over again~ (Spring break? :D)
Anywhooo... Okay so last night (Sunday at home around... 11pm) i decided to make some green tea so i put the pot with water on the stove. While I was waiting, my roommate (Arevik) said she needed help with installing her printer to her laptop. Forgetting that the pot was on, i spent GOOD 30-40 mins with her. When we were almost done (getting the software installed and turning on the printer + printing her essay out) we noticed a burnt smelling coming from nowhere! We just assumed that it was the printer warming up with new set of ink cartridges. LOL so we got that done... And i moved back to my room to see if Bruce was done with the system check up. He wasn't. Being bored, i decided to go to the kitchen and see what's up. And what do i see.... The pot just burning nothing but air and smoke creeping out of the cover... I was like "OH crap." O_O
Well, an automatic response to this situation would be "call the girls." But no... I thought i could hide this incident so i opened the kitchen window and turned on the stove fan. Uhh you'd be surprised... they didn't know what was going on until later (hold that thought). So i did the dishes to buy time and there were some to do... Hmmm I'm now thinking... what do i do with the pot... HmmMMmmm... So i concluded to "Hide it." :D
I really just wanted to throw it away but I knew better. (Here is what i really did) I held the burnt pot in my hands, i walked to Arevik (it was her pot i was using). "Arevik, I have a confession... You know how i said i wanted to make some green tea, well... i uhh burned your pot. I'm sorry :'( "
To cut it short, she said it was fine, just a pot... and you were helping with the printer stuff... LOL heheehe She wasn't mad or anything. She took it cool~
Man, I have never burned a pot before but this is like A NOOOOB mistake. :(
So i thought it would be nice to share a funny story LOL Btw, she almost burned my pot this morning, while she was making some oatmeal. "LAWL" well, there are 3 burned marks on the bottom~ :X
Hope you guys have a good week!
(Grace, GOOD luck studying for finals next week~ <3)
